The Beatles Show EDIT.jpg

You haven’t really heard The Beatles until you’ve heard The Beatles Show.  There may be other people who know more about The Beatles (probably). There may be
others who have more experience in radio (doubtful). But nobody brings to the table the
equal measure of both of those essentials as Casey Piotrowski.  Casey got his start in radio in Buffalo.  While in Cincinnati he led an on-air campaign that netted thousands of signatures to help John Lennon get his green card. He worked as a technical advisor to the film “John Lennon: Imagine” and was a long time contributor to the “Lost Lennon Tapes” radio series on Westwood One Radio Network. Casey has written 6 books on the Beatles; most recently “The Beatles Top 101 Solo Songs.”

“THE JUKE IN THE BACK”
WITH MATT THE CAT
SATURDAYS 11:00 PM – 12:00 MID

Between 1946-1954, rhythm and blues laid the tracks for what was to become Rock n’ Roll.  These were the records you couldn’t hear on the jukebox in the front of the establishment. To hear 1940’s & 1950’s rhythm & blues you had to go to the “Juke in the Back.”  Matt The Cat has spent most of his life in radio.  Beginning at age 13 he hosted an oldies radio show on WBMT in Boxford, MA.  He arrived at XM just before it’s launch in 2001.  Matt’s “Night Prowl Show” was the only live, national call-in request show of its kind to focus on the hits as well as the deep tracks that so many early rock n’ roll fans long for.  In 2002 he began hosting a weekly R&B show called “Harlem.”  Matt added music director of the 50’s channel to his duties in 2004.  His focus on doo-wop, R&B, rockabilly and early rock n’ roll is unmatched on American radio today.
